Steps

Arrival in La Rochelle

Welcome to the maritime city with its medieval towers and lively Old Port. Your Pino bike or tandem, ready for adventure, is waiting for you. After a warm welcome and personalized briefing with your Toog advisor, adjust your position, learn a few tricks of the trade and equip your panniers.

Take advantage of the late afternoon to stroll along the quays, smell the iodized air and perhaps dine overlooking the illuminated port. Tomorrow, we head for the Charente coast and its changing landscapes, from beaches to salt marshes.

DAY 1: La Rochelle → Fouras

The big start! You leave La Rochelle at a leisurely pace, following the coastline along the Vélodyssée. The largest marina on the Atlantic coast, Les Minimes, greets you before the sea widens as far as the eye can see.

After a few kilometers lulled by the sound of the waves, head for the peaceful seaside resort of Fouras, with its beaches, promontory and marine panoramas. Overnight in a 3* hotel with spa and indoor pool, just a few steps from the ocean.

DAY 2: Fouras → Saint-Palais-sur-Mer

Head south, between marshes and pine forests. The majestic Échillais transporter bridge takes you across the Charente, then the Vélodyssée takes you to the Brouage marshes, rich in flora and fauna.

Cross another river to reach the Côte Sauvage, with a possible stop at the Coubre lighthouse for an exceptional panorama. In the evening, settle into a 4* hotel overlooking the sea, complete with spa and hammam, or enjoy a romantic dinner at one of our favorite addresses.

DAY 3: Saint-Palais-sur-Mer → La Rochelle

Last day, but not least... Drive to the villages of the Seudre, stroll through Mornac-sur-Seudre and discover the colorful cabins of Oléron. Perhaps take a swim at the Saumonards beach before embarking at Boyardville.

The ferry crossing offers one last spectacle: Fort Boyard, seabirds and the gradual return to La Rochelle. Return your bike or tandem and take home over 200 km of iodized memories... and the desire to do it all over again.
